Here our story begins…
At the Halloween party, he found himself seeking her to spend time together. They talked, laughed, and noticed a connection forming. Julianna agreed to go on a date the next week, when she admired Brendan's kindness, charm, and how funny he is. They started going on more dates, then spending more time together, and as they grew close, they fell deeply in love. Soon enough they moved into an apartment together in Brighton, where they devised their great travel adventure. They bought a van, named it Van Go, and renovated the inside so they could explore around the country.
When you've been together as long as Julianna and Brendan have, certain parts of the story stretch back to a different era. Our couple were both living in Boston in 2013, with Julianna attending Lasell for Fashion Design, Brendan working as an EMT, and both living the Allston dream. They had some friends in common and met at a party, talking a little longer each time they saw one another. As Halloween was approaching, Julianna and her friends hosted a house party. Brendan could not wait to see her - they had last spoken before Julianna interned in New York that summer. He was smitten with her personable storytelling, ease of understanding, and one of a kind gorgeous smile.
You have of course heard tales of their life on the road, but they had an amazing trip visiting national parks, making new friends, and discovering both big cities and small towns along the way. Their connection remained as strong as ever as they committed to move to Los Angeles and see what life there could offer. On their drive, they found and adopted their first cat, Gardenia, from a rest stop in Texas. She became an instant member of the family and loved both life on the road and settling into apartment life. The couple started setting roots in LA - Julie found a design job, Brendan started a band under the persona Sam Slick, while they also took time to keep exploring with short trips, especially their new favorite visits to Joshua Tree. Another cat joined the family - Lotus came as a kitten in 2019 - and their happiness and love continued to thrive and grow. In 2020 they all moved to Joshua Tree for a new adventure in the most incredible area they had yet explored, and for the better part of a year they soaked in the unique atmosphere and rare powers of the high desert. Job opportunities pulled them back to Los Angeles, where they spent the next few years as a loving couple with two sweet cats.
To show his love and unlimited commitment, Brendan decided to take things to the next level and proposed to Julianna. There had been many special moments the couple had shared over the years, but the right moment was during a quiet weekend around town which they spent doing things they loved in some of their favorite spots - a symbol of contentment and happiness in even the small happiness of everyday occasions together. Julianna said yes and the loving couple could not have been happier!
…and here we are today!
This wedding is to celebrate our love up to this point and beyond to the rest of our lives, and we cannot wait to celebrate with our close family and friends in a truly beautiful and magical location that is as unique as this couple.
